My kids LOVE steak and I’ve recently found that making it in the air fryer is not only quick and easy but it’s really good! So I thought I’d pair it with our favorite cheese tortellini Caesar salad. It’s also Saturday so I had a bit more time to spend in the kitchen and I love to make homemade bread so I made that too.
There really isn’t any right or wrong way to make this salad but I start with the following:
Hearts of Romaine lettuce
Cheese tortellini (I use Buitoni three cheese tortellini)
Cook the tortellini according to package directions. Once cooked and drained, place the noodles in a shallow dish and refrigerate to cool. Assemble the salad just before serving the steak and top with Parmesan cheese, croutons and cold tortellini. Serve with sliced steak on the side.
For the steak I used this recipe: adventuresofanurse.com
Now for the bread. I’m a huge sucker for bread of any kind but nothing is more satisfying than a slice right out of the oven drenched in butter. I’ve made a lot of different recipes for bread and so far they’ve all turned out pretty well. I’ll share another one that I really like another day but this one I tried for the first time tonight and it was a big hit.
The only thing I did differently was I halved the recipe because my mixer is not big enough to knead the amount it called for to make two loaves. I only wanted to try one loaf anyway to make sure it was a keeper. And this is definitely a keeper. You’ll want to save this one: longbournfarm.comd-recipe/
